”When I was working with you…my husband was having trouble fitting exercise into his routine. You told me that sometimes the wife/mother can lead her family into a healthier lifestyle. Well, after having an issue with his cholesterol, he finally got it. In the last year and a half he list 35 pounds, reduced his cholesterol from 330 to 180 and is holding it near that number. He and I stared riding bicycles a little over a year ago, and last summer did a week-long ride in Germany with out friends. “I originally came to Tri-D because I have demonstrated history of gaining weight quickly over the winter months. Each year it gets harder to shed the pounds. My stable weight has increased with each passing year. Tri-D gave me accountability to show up to the gym even when it was the last thing I wanted to do. I was able to stem weight gain over the winter and actually lost weight. This was positive reinforcement over trying to do it on my own. What I learned is that you need to work with fitness professionals. Key word professionals. I have tried the trainers at the gym and rarely had much success with them. They don’t have the depth of experience and professionalism I found with the Tri-D team. A work of advice; “Changing behaviors doesn’t happen over night. Give yourself enough time to succeed.”
